2013: The Beginning
Areakappa proposed to Siemens HQ an innovative HMI solution for controlling and monitoring HVAC units (chillers, AHUs, etc.) via mobile app (Android and iOS) and cloud, equipped with Siemens Climatix controllers. The solution enabled both on-board and remote control.
Development and Adoption
After a few years of development and refinement, the prototype became an official Siemens product named "smartHMI", integrated into the Climatix line.
